I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Misc.: Cookies and Cream Pop-Tarts and KidsEmail service

Me -Today I am  recommending Cookies and Cream Pop-Tarts. They taste sort of like Oreo cookies but not exactly. They are sweet enough without being too sweet. They are my favorite Pop-Tart flavor, and I would highly recommend them.

We were given a year of KidsEmail service for free for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here our own based on our experience.

Mom - Today I am recommending KidsEmail. If your child  wants an e-mail address and you are concerned about how safe it is for him to have one,  KidsEmail is a great compromise. With KidsEmail, you can control your child's e-mail. You can choose the settings to give yourself as much control or as little control over your child's e-mail as you want. For instance, you can set time restrictions on how long your child can be  in his account or even if he can go into his account at all. For instance if your child has been grounded he can be blocked from his account for the length of time you set.  You can set safety rules for your child, such as, those regarding who can and cannot contact him. You can prevent anyone not in his approved contact list from sending him e-mail, and you can decide who can be on his approved contact list.   Any e-mail that fails the safety list you have set can be sent to you and then you can decide if it should be sent on to your child or not. You can even have copies of all your child's incoming and outgoing mail sent to you if you want.

Another great thing about KidsEmail is there is no advertising on the site. Therefore, you never have to worry about your child seeing anything inappropriate.

KidsEmail is not just great for parents. It is great for kids too. It has features they will love like a feature that reads e-mail out loud to help younger kids with their reading.  There is a fun drawing board. It even has an advanced mode making it suitable for older kids as well a younger kids.

If you are interested in finding out more about KidsEmail , starting a free trial of the service or registering for the service go to Email for Kids.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
