I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Funtivity Friday - Art Projects: Creative Shapes

Here are some fun art activities for different ages that  you can do with shapes:

For little kids: Size and Shape Pictures

1) Draw shapes of different sizes

2) Color in the shapes
3)Cut out the shapes

4) Glue the shapes onto a piece of paper in size order
For even younger kids, you can help them draw and cut out the shapes or even do it for them.

For older kids: Shape Pictures

1) Draw shapes of various sizes. See step 1 above.

2) Cut out the shapes. See step 3 above.

3) Arrange the shapes into a picture. See below for an example but you do not have to do the same exact thing. You can make any picture with your shapes that you want. If you would like to specifically do an elephant shape drawing we will provide directions for that in a later post.

For any age: Random Shape Pictures

1) Draw random shapes
2) Fill up your whole page
3) Color them in. If you want you can leave some blank too.

Enjoy!
