I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Our view: The Pinkertonian Mystery is more than just a mystery. It's an interactive fun activity for the whole family. If you or your kids ever wanted the opportunity to solve a mystery, here is your chance.  Working in teams, you will visit various locations in the museum and ask questions of the different characters in the story to try and solve the mystery of El Diablo. The characters in the story are expertly portrayed by the members of LiveInTheater. Every member of the troop is a talented actor who is completely believeable in his or her role and never breaks character. The subject of the mystery does not involve murder or violence or anything that would be scary to children or people who are especially fearful or sensitive so it can easily be enjoyed by people of all ages and sensibilities. Anyone interested in history particularly the 1800's and the time period of the founding of The Pinkerton National Detective Agency and the attempted assassination of Abraham Lincoln will especially enjoy the mystery as it it is set during that time period although it does not specifically deal with attempted assassination of Abraham Lincoln. We would not recommend it for very young children, however, who would not understand it and would probably be bored or for anyone with a short attention span. We would not recommend it for anyone who has trouble getting around easily either because it does involve a lot of walking around the museum.  Also, this is not a drop off activity for children, all children participating in the event must be accompanied by an adult. The cost of participating in the mystery is $35.00 per person, $30,00 for those with a museum membership, and  the cost includes admission to the museum for the day. Other current museum exhibits include an exhibit of the art of Al Hirschfeld, the late artist known for his portraits of celebrities especially Broadway stars.
