I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Amazing Grace the Musical

What: Amazing Grace the Musical

Where: The Nederlander Theater
             208 W. 41st Street
             New York, New York

Who:  13 and up
Our view: Amazing Grace is the story of John Newton, the man who wrote the song Amazing Grace.   If you are looking for a light hearted little musical, this is not it. If you like your musicals, with a little bit of depth to them, you will probably enjoy this show. It is actually a bit more enjoyable than the title and premise might imply. The acting and singing are all very good. The songs are enjoyable for the most part although not very memorable except for, of course, Amazing Grace.  We would not recommend it for young children who would probably be bored and might be disturbed by some elements of the plot including about the treatment of slaves. And that's our view. Tune in to tomorrow's Talking Topics post where we will be talking more about Amazing Grace the Musical.
