I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Funtivity Friday- Art Project: Stuffed Turkey

Here is a fun Thanksgiving art project.

What you will need:

multicolored paper
pen or pencil
scissors
tissue paper
glue
markers
crayons (optional)
glitter (optional )
googly eyes (optional)
buttons (optional)

Instructions:

1) Trace your hand on two separate pieces of paper

2) Cut out the hands

3) Roll up some tissue paper and put it in the center of one of the hands.

4) Glue the hands together with the tissue paper in the center. It doesn't matter if the hands don't match up perfectly when you glue them together,

5) Fold a colored piece of paper in half and cut out two feathers at the same time.

6) Repeat step 5 three or four more times using different colors. If you want you can decorate your feathers  with crayons, markers or glitter or any other way you want.

7) Fold a red piece of paper in half and cut out a wattle.

8) Glue half of the wattle to one side of your stuffed turkey and the other half right behind it on the other side.

9) Glue one of each colored feather to one side of your turkey and one of the same color directly behind it to the back of your turkey.

10) Use marker to give your turkey an eye on each side or you can use googly eyes or buttons for eyes.

Enjoy!

Tune in Sunday for this week's scoop.
