I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Monmouth Park Racetrack Dawn Patrol

Me - Monmouth Park Dawn Patrol, wow! Monmouth Park Dawn Patrol was very interesting. They took us on a tour of Monmouth Park Racetrack. Monmouth Park is the biggest horse race track in our area. Last year, American Pharaoh, the Triple Crown winner, raced in the Haskell there and won. On the Dawn Patrol tour, we got to go into the jockey's room. We saw the jockeys uniforms. A lot of jockeys silks were hanging from the ceiling. They were organized by color. We learned what they use the whip for. They don't hurt the horse. They just help steer him in the right direction. We got to to go on a tour of the stable area. We saw some of the horses being bathed. Some of the people got to feed and pet a horse. The horse ate carrots right out of their hands. We got to see horses practicing getting out of the starting at the sound of the bell. We got free donuts and water at the end of the tour. All the adults got a free one day ticket to the racetrack. Everyone under 18 is always free. Dawn Patrol was fun and interesting.*
