I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Me - The Blueprint Specials was a good interesting show. It was made up of a combination of three army shows. Most of it was songs and skits although there was a little bit of  a storyline. I liked the show. The story was interesting. One part of the story was that this Godess, Pallas came down from heaven to join the army and she became Private Mary Brown. Pallas was played by Tony nominated actress, Laura Osnes. I saw Laura Osnes before in Cinderella. The other well known person in the cast was Will Swenson. He was also previously nominated for a Tony, but I never saw him in a show before. He is also married to Audra McDonald. I haven't seen her in a show before either but I'd like too. The characters in the Blueprint Specials were likable. Some of the songs were good. The acting and singing and dancing were all good. It was interesting that the show was at the Intrepid. I was there three times before and once I slept over but I never saw a show there before.  It was a really interesting experience and I would really recommend if you have the opportunity to experience something like it you do.

Mom - The Blueprint Specials was a truly unique theatrical experience in a truly unique theatrical venue, the Intrepid Sea Air and Space museum. It  was 90 minutes of being immersed in the type of entertainment you would see if you were part of the military in the 1940s. The show presented was actually a combination of three shows that were actually presented on military bases during that time. These were not shows that were presented by professional entertainers but shows that were put on by the soldiers and military personnel themselves. They would also only be seen by soldiers and military personnel and not by civilians. The base would receive instructions (or blueprints)  for everything related to putting on the shows including sets and costumes. Thus, the shows were called Blueprint specials. In keeping with spirit of the way these shows were originally presented, these modern Blueprint Specials featured current or former members of the armed forces in many of the roles in the show. The show was made up of mostly of songs and dances and skits with a little bit of story line carried throughout. All in all, it was very entertaining.
And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Funtivity Friday.
