I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Funtivity Friday - Fun Ways to Pass the Time When You Are Home Sick

Over the recent Spring Break, three out of four members of our family, spent most of the week home sick. It got us thinking. Very few people actually spend every minute they are home sick sleeping although we have one family member who just about does.  So we came up with this list of fun things you can do to pass the time while you are home sick.

1)  Read - Read a book. Read a magazine. Read a paper. Read on-line. Read off-line. Read anything you want anyhow you want. This is not the time to be reading that boring material your forced to read for work or school, however.  Read something light, fun and/or interesting.
2) Do puzzles - There are so many different kinds of word puzzles to do including word searches, cryptoquotes, or crossword puzzles. You can find them in books, magazines or papers or even on-line. If you don't like word puzzles, maybe you like jigsaw puzzles.
3) Watch TV- Whether you Binge watch your favorite television shows, find a new show, or just watch a whole bunch of different things when you're sick is a great time to just spend hours doing nothing but watching television without feeling guilty about it.
4) Watch Movies - Whether you rewatch your favorite films, tackle that list of films you've been meaning to get or try movies that you've never heard of and/or thought about watching before, there are always plenty of movies to chose from.
5) Play cards  - You can play cards on-line or off. Play solitaire by yourself or play a variety of other games against other members of your family who are home too or against computer opponents.
6) Play a board game - Board games are more fun if they can be played the old school way with your opponents actually in the room with you. However, if necessary board games can be played on-line as well.
7) Write - Do you like to write stories, or poems or plays or do any other kind of writing? If you love to write, this might be a good time to find some quiet time to work on your writing.
8) Listen to Music - You might just want to sit quietly and listen to your favorite tunes or maybe even discovers some new ones.

What do you like to do when you're home sick?

Whatever you do, you just try to relax and enjoy your down time as much as you can.

Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
