I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Funtivity Friday - Walking Around Games Part III

This is our third installment of games we made up for when you are walking around, sitting around, waiting around or just generally bored.

1) Guess the Show - One person gives clues regarding a show could be a TV show, a play, or musical; the other person (or the other people) have to guess what it is. Take turns being the clue giver and guessers.

2) Rhyming Words - Pick a word find as many rhymes as you can. When you can't think of any more, pick another word and start over.

3) Pick a category - Pick a category, names as many things as you can think of that fit the category. When you can't think of anything else pick another category.

4) Guess the object - Think of an object. Give clues. The other person (or the other people) have to guess what it is. Taking turns being the clue giver and guessers.

5) The Numbers Game - Think of something there is one of, something there is two of , something there is 3 of, etc. as high as you can go. In a variation of this game you can thing of as many things as you can for each number instead of only one thing.

6) Arbitrary Words - Make up crazy nonsensical words

7) Say What? - Say something in a crazy way, like with your hand over your mouth, without closing your mouth, keeping your lips together or whatever. See if the other person (or other people) can guess what you're saying. Taking turns talking and guessing.

Enjoy!

What games do you play when you're sitting around or bored on the go?

Tune in tomorrow for a Saturday Special.

  1. "I spy with my little eye" seems like an excellent plan for when one is on walkabout!
