I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

              Columbus Circle Entrance to Park

Me - The Stroll to Strawberry Fields was a tour of Central Park. We started at the information booth and we walked all the way to Strawberry Fields. We visited different locations in the park along the way. Central Park is a fun place to walk because it is big, and there are a lot of places to see. It is good to go with a tour if you are not familiar with it. Than, you can't get lost and also you can learn things about it. Even though there are tours all year around, the best time to go is when it is warm. There are bridges and overpass in Central Park. We passed by a lot of them. We also passed some giant rocks you can climb on. Another time when I was in Central Park with my cousins we climbed on some of the rocks. It was fun. We also passed Tavern on the Green. It is  a really famous expensive restaurant. I like that we learned a lot on the tour. We learned different things than we had on other Central Park tours. People who like Central Park, or being outside or taking walks would enjoy this tour.

Mom - Central Park is a great place to take a walk. However, it is also massive so if you are unfamiliar with the park it is so easy to get completely lost. The central park conservancy offers tours of the park. Some of these tours do cost money although the cost is minimal compared to other tours. They are usually about $15.00 a person or so. They also have many free tours. One of their free tours is the Stroll to Strawberry Fields. The Stroll to Strawberry Fields starts off at the park Welcome Center located at 59 Street/Columbus Circle and Central Park West and ends up at Strawberry Fields. Along the way, you will pass such sites as the Maine Monument, Sheep Meadow and Tavern on the Green. You will also learn about the history of these places and maybe even a little bit of trivia. For instance, one thing we learned is that at one time there actually were Sheep in Sheep Meadow. This is not a good tour for young children or for anyone who has trouble walking for long periods of time because the whole tour takes about 90 minutes, and there is really no stopping and sitting down along the way. However, anyone else should enjoy a nice walk in one of the most famous parks in the world to one of the most iconic locations in the park especially on a nice day.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Theater Thursday.
